Dear partners, dear festival guests,
The opening of our Znojmo Grape Festival 2012 is getting closer and we, the festival team, are really looking forward to it, especially to your presence.
We have some new information both on festival programme and competition. We have closed the 'Full Plate of Painting' contest, competition for nursery and primary school children. We have received 16 modelled and 88 painted works from 18 nursery and primary schools. You can find the results of the competition on our website – our congratulations to all successful authors!
For other contest categories we have received many pieces as well – artwork, TV and radio spots, as well as commercial spots. During summer many gastronomic shows arouse – nearly every TV and radio channels air them – therefore we decided to extend the deadline for the festival contest until 3rd September 2012. This means that you still can apply: just download a form, fill it in, attach your show and send it to our address.
We have also changed the schedule for 'Grand Prix Sommelier Junior Znojmo Grape 2012' young sommeliers contest; we have postponed it until 23rd and 24th October 2012. By this time the school-busy September is gone and you will have more time to get ready for the contest. This event is also a preparation for our festival team because the next year’s 15th anniversary festival will be held in October 2013.
The first mini-videos for our 'Cooking and Filming' project made us very happy and we hope we will receive more videos until the end of August.
